Civic Beautification
The Civic Beautification Comittee focuses on seasonal design of the town troughs and planters at the JV Fletcher Library, the Town Common, the Town Hall, Police Station, Westford Museum and Forge Village intersection. Members plant, maintain and organize in the watering schedule for these sites. Small American flags are purchases and placed at all these sites on Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th and Veteran’s Day.

Festivals and Community Goodwill
The Festival and Community Good Will committee is responsible for WGC submission, participation payment, and fundraising ideas for local festivals including the Yellow Tulip Project and the Apple Blossom Festival. All proposals are approved by the WGC Board.

Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee is tasked with planning and organizing seasonal fundraising events as well as Corporate Sponsorship, annual plant sales, on-line wreath sales, cookie and floral arrangement sales, dine-out events, vendor booths, Gardens of Westford calendar and any special events. They work closely with the Publicity Committee.

Good Cheer Correspondent
The Good Cheer Correspondent sends cards, notes of support and/or flowers to members of the WGC who need good cheer or on behalf of the club. All members are asked to make the correspondent aware of any member who might benefit from a cheerful message or support from the Westford Garden Club throughout the year.

Hospitality
The Hospitality Committee organizes hostesses for all of the WGC’s meetings and managing supplies. All members of the WGC are asked to participate as a host/hostess at least once per year.

Membership
The Membership Committee organizes the New Member Meet & Greet each August before the start of the club year. They liase with the Publicity Committee to promote the club and manage all new member applications. The Membership committee is responsible for informing new mambers of their club responsibilities, providing them with the WGC Yearbook and introducing them to the monthly meeting. They oversee the creation and distribution of name tags and maintenance of membership records. They work closely with the Treasurer and Newsletter Editor regarding email updates and memebrship dues.

Planting and Projects
The Planting & Project Committee is responsible for the purchase of supplies, maintenance of and renewal of the Herb & Pollinator Gardens on the Westford Museum grounds. They identify sites in Westford and it’s villages that would benefit from some natural beautification and make recommendations to the WGC Board. They are responsible for decorating the Pollinator Garden Gazebo for the holidays.

Programs
The Programs Committee researches, plans and organizes all club programs, workshops and outings which reflect the interest of club memebers. The chair corresponds with presenters, arranges meetings and workshop space and coordinates logistics.
